Dominic Ward

Dominic Ward is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music at Griffith University, studying under the tutelage of world-class classical guitarist, Karin Schaupp. Having also previously studied with renowned guitar pedagogue Paul Svoboda, Dominic graduated with a Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical Guitar Performance. He is active in Brisbane as an educator, performer, and arranger of classical guitar and rock music.

Dominic is currently featured in several Brisbane-based acts and bands, including the Solstice Guitar Duo, August River Band, and The Gents, where his duties range from arranging pieces and writing songs to performing as a vocalist and acoustic/electric guitarist. He has also previously featured as a member of the Aurora Guitar Ensemble, the Jacaranda Guitar Quartet, and the Riverside Guitar Ensemble.

Dominic has performed in a wide variety of settings, including the Adelaide International Guitar Festival, Brisbane Festival, Noosa Guitar Festival, and Brisbane’s yearly Guitar Extravaganza. His band roles have seen him involved in the Caloundra Music Festival, Maleny Music Festival, and several regional tours in multiple states.

Dominic currently resides in Brisbane, where he works primarily as Guitar Coordinator at Loreto College Coorparoo and as a Guitar Tutor at Calvary Christian College, in conjunction with his work as a performer.

Clancy Anderson

Australian born classical guitarist Clancy Anderson is etching his mark onto the musical landscape with his awe-inspiring and captivating performances. Since learning to play the guitar from a young age, Clancy has developed a deep connection to the guitar, resonating a passionate and nurtured connection to the instrument.

Throughout his journey as a guitarist, Clancy has consistently evoked astonishing artistic expression in his performances. Mentored by prestigious classical guitarists Karin Schaupp and John Couch, Clancy’s stage presence and intimate playing have reached a height that has inspired his contemporaries and captivated many highly regarded classical musicians, including Richard Charlton, Leonard Grigoryan, Paul Dean and Paul Svoboda.

Clancy graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 2020. In that time, Clancy has travelled and performed in multiple festivals and concert series in Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide, The Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, including events such as the Adelaide Guitar Festival, Noosa Guitar Festival, Music By The Sea Festival, The Bleach Festival and more. 

Clancy has also performed as a concerto soloist with the Queensland Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra and Brisbane Concert Orchestra. He has performed alongside the Camerata String Orchestra in the Bronos Kentet, worked with Brisbane’s finest opera singers in Voxalis, performed live on ABC Radio alongside Dominic Ward in the Solstice Guitar Duo, and was an opening act in the Brisbane Music Festival.
